When I moved to Carrollton 20 years ago, it was so beautiful. But now, this Board of Supervisors is turning Carrollton Boulevard into Mercury Boulevard. They are cutting down all the trees and putting up buildings and companies that we don’t need.

When the robbers from Hampton and Newport News start coming over here, who do we blame? — the Board of Supervisors.

And when the robbers do come, the Board of Supervisors will say “We have to hire more police officers and buy more police cars, so we will need to raise taxes to pay for them.”

So, why not make the supervisors pay for them and not us taxpayers who didn’t want all this growth?
