I’ve known Michael Bailey for several years. He has been a member of the Hampton Road Chapter of the National Association of the Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club where he assists with many community events.

Michael is an enthusiastic leader who always maintains his professionalism. With patience and an ability to explain and demonstrate strategy clearly, he draws out the very best from our members, who, in turn, look up to him. I know Michael to be dependable, responsible, honest and courteous.

Michael will be an asset as sheriff of Surry County. I can confidently recommend him to serve in that capacity. He will treat people as they should be treated and will put the welfare of the county and the Surry Sheriff’s Department before his own. I am totally convinced that Michael will do what’s right, legally and morally, and will display personal courage in the face of adversity.
