There are many reasons to re-elect Mark Marshall for Sheriff of Isle of Wight County. We have heard from many people throughout the county who have written letters to the Smithfield Times and on social media why Mark is the right man for the job. We all know and understand that just his years of experience and his solid educational credentials are overwhelming reasons all by themselves to vote for Mark for another term as Sheriff.

One of the most important facts that I think about and hope others understand is the commitment that Mark Marshall made to his community. His commitment started more than 30 years ago when he signed on to become a sworn officer. When he entered Law Enforcement, Mark took an oath to protect and serve his community.

I have known Mark for over 24 years and know just how important that oath is to him. When new deputies are sworn in, Mark and the staff present rededicate their service along with the new officers. Trust, honor, duty, leadership, teamwork, transparency, and dedication are just a small list of ways to describe Mark’s years he has given and will continue to provide to our community. I hope that the great people of the Isle of Wight community feel the same way I feel. Mark Marshall is the only choice for sheriff, but to make that happen requires people to vote! Do not forget to vote on Nov. 3^.
