Over the last four years, the Isle of Wight County government and its Board of Supervisors have been in conflict with the town of Smithfield, the town of Windsor, the Isle of Wight County School Board, Isle of Wight County’s first responders and the citizen’s of the Newport District (Isle 2040).

Much of this conflict, in my opinion, has been due to lack of oversight by the Isle Of Wight County Board of Supervisors. Instead of asserting control over the County government the Board has chosen to leave the County without direction. 

As a concerned business owner in Carrollton, I encourage all who live in the Newport District to vote for William McCarty as an Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisor to end all of these conflicts and to bring responsible, committed leadership to our Board of Supervisors.
