I would like take this opportunity on the behalf of the American Legion Auxiliary to say thank you to the local community for all of its support. Recently we held our Fall Yard and Bake Sale. Some of you found some wonderful treasures others found some delicious homemade bake goods.

A special thank you to all the wonderful people who donated furniture, household items, jewelry, books, clothing and more. It is overwhelming at the generosity in a time that people are struggling to make ends meet.

The veterans, military, children and community benefit from our different fundraisers. Personal care items, socks and underwear for our veterans. Purchasing items for Portsmouth Naval Medical Center Children’s Ward just to make a day in the life of a military child’s hospital stay a little bit better. Donations made to our local Libraries, Fire Departments and more.

Again thank you for all your support, it just show us what a great community we live in.
