Thank you truly to Surry voters for their encouragement, support and just downright love. This election was an experience and a testament to what remains to be done here in Surry County. Yes, “we” won the election for Surry County Sheriff! We engaged, provoked critical thinking, shifted the conversation and added a diverse perspective to mediocrity and complacency. I thank you all very much for taking the time to have the serious conversation on how we can continue to empower our great county.

Reflecting back on my campaign, I am most happy that my faith did not allow me to lose myself in the tireless race. I am proud that we remained grounded in what matters most, and that is ensuring that Surry County receives a Sheriff who is focused on working hard to bring great services to “all” citizens. Our Sheriff’s Office has the greatest potential to provide efficient law enforcement and community services; and I will see that this potential materializes during my tenure.

I am humbled by those who had the confidence in selecting me as their new Sheriff. Together we can, and together we will make a difference!
