The story appearing today about the invasive species problem in the Windsor Castle Park in which I was quoted cast my remarks about the Town’s response as way too negative. As we all are, I am very aware of the Town’s need to keep things in perspective with regard to scarce municipal resources and limited staff. I’m sure that if money and staff were unlimited they would have jumped on the problem promptly and vigorously. Now, having said that, I urge the Town to be as aggressive as possible in this matter, as the stinking sumac just keeps multiplying out of control.
