PUBLIC NOTICE

 

            Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 58.1-3651(B) of the Code of Virginia (1950, as amended), that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, June 9, 2016, to consider the enactment of an ordinance to designate as exempt from taxation all real and personal property owned and operated by God’s Anointed Touch Ministries.

 

            A copy of the proposed ordinance is on file in the Office of the County Administrator and County Attorney, Isle of Wight County Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia 23397, and is available for public examination.

 

            Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his views with respect to, the proposed ordinance may appear before, and be heard by, the Board during the Public Hearing section of the meeting in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room, Isle of Wight County Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia.  The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.

 

            The County of Isle of Wight is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.  If you require an accommodation or sign language interpreter to participate in the meeting, reasonable accommodations can be made upon request by contacting the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at least five (5) days in advance of the meeting at (757) 365-6204.

Notice is hereby given that the Virginia Power and Electric Company has requested authorization from the Virginia Marine Resources Commission to maintenance dredge up to 150,000 cubic yards of State-owned subaqueous land, on an as needed basis, adjacent to the intake channel for the Surry Nuclear Power Plant within the James River in Surry County.
