Arrhg!! Matey. ‘Tis Pirate Night at the Summer Concert Series.
Pirate Queen Cindy Warner will bring her Hysterically Correct combo back to the Times Gazebo Friday to entertain young and old, but be aware, it’s aimed particularly at the young.
And because this concert is for the kids, it will begin at 7 p.m., an hour earlier than usual. It’s thought that tiny buccaneers might need to be home and in bed a bit earlier than older rogues.
There’ll be treasure chests of booty for the first 100 little ones, so Moms and Dads, set sail Friday for Main Street and turn your little swashbucklers loose on the front lawn of the newspaper. They’ll be in good company. Costumes are encouraged.
Next week, the Williamsburg Swing Orchestra will present a non-swashbuckling, but entertaining concert. And that one begins at 8 p.m.
The Summer Concert Series, celebrating its 30th season, is sponsored by The Smithfield Times and the Isle of Wight Arts League.
