Virginia Prevette

Virginia Prevette, 75, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016.  She was born in Loris, S.C. and was a resident of Hampton.  Virginia enjoyed gardening and, most of all, spending time with her family. She was a member of Ivy Memorial Baptist Church. 

 Virginia was preceded in rest by her husband, Charles Clayton Prevette Sr; father, Prince Albert Russ; grandson, Darrick Elijah Grainger; and sister, Shirley Jane Russ.  She is survived by her son, Charles Clayton Prevette Jr. (Michele Brinson); daughters, Virginia Ann G. Thomas (Mike) and Sherri Prevette Gill (Bill); mother, Annie Mae Russ Hubble; brother, Lawrence ‘Buddy’ Russ; sister, LouWanna Hubble (CH); grandchildren, Lynae Davis (TJ), Jeramy Grainger (Mandy), Darrick Grainger, Beth Bruner (Steve), David Gill and Stuart Gill; great-grandchildren, Dalton and Megan Davis, Austin, Zachary, Samantha and Aiden Grainger, Elizabeth Grainger and Bodie and Gabe Bruner; and multiple nieces and nephews.

 The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a celebration of Virginia’s life to immediately follow at 2 p.m.  Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Park.
