Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, March 16, 2017, to consider an ordinance to amend and reenact Chapter 5, Elections, Article III, Precincts, Section 5-11 to change the polling place location for the Pons Precinct in the Hardy Election District. The public meeting portion of the meeting will commence at 6 p.m. A copy of the proposed ordinance is on file in the Office of the County Administrator, Isle of Wight County Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia 23397, and is available for public examination. The Town Council of the Town of Surry will hold a public hearing on March 14th, 2017 in the town’s meeting room located at 84 Colonial Trail East in the Town of Surry at 7:00pm. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments concerning the Town of Surry becoming a part of the Hampton Roads Sanitation District project for Surry County.

CHANGE IN ZONING CLASSIFICATION
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, (1950), as amended, that the Planning Commission of the Town of Smithfield, Virginia will hold a public hearing at the regular meeting of the Planning Commission in the council chambers in The Smithfield Center, 220 N. Church Street, meeting room A, Smithfield, Virginia, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. to consider the application of L & L Land Development, LLC, owner, and Charles D. Layman, applicant for an amendment to the current zoning ordinance to change the zoning classification of certain property from Community Conservation District (C-C) to Highway Retail Commercial (HR-C)
The property which is the subject of this application contains approximately 2.125+/- acres and is part of a larger tract of land containing 165.36 acres, more or less, which tract is identified as Tax Map Parcel 32-01-005. The parcel is located on the west side of Benn’s Church Boulevard between Turner Drive and Cypress Run Drive. The proposed change in zoning classification for a portion of Parcel 32-01-005 to Highway Retail Commercial (HR-C) would permit the construction of a retail store, including the receipt of donations, sale of new and consignment goods, employee training and related uses (Goodwill Industries outlet). The parcel’s current zoning designation is Community Conservation District (C-C). The Future Land Use designation for the subject property as set forth in the Town’s Comprehensive Plan is Retail/commercial.
Copies of the current Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Smithfield, Virginia, all amendments thereto and the application are on file and may be examined in the Department of Planning, Engineering, & Public Works, 310 Institute Street, Smithfield, Virginia.

Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of the Town of Smithfield, Virginia, will hold a public hearing at the regular meeting of the Planning Commission in the council chambers in The Smithfield Center, 220 N.
