PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 19, 2018 to consider the following applications:

The application of Vernon Ray and Linda Edwards, owners, and Amanda D. Sibert, applicant, for a change in zoning classification from Rural Agricultural Conservation (RAC) to Rural Residential (RR), of three (3) acres located at 15395 Bowling Green Road (Rte. 644) and a request to withdraw the three (3) acres from the Courthouse Agricultural District. The purpose of the application is to create one (1) single family residential lot from part of Tax Parcel Identification Number 40-01-005.

The application of Betty M. Joyner, owner, and Dean G. Vincent, applicant, for a change in zoning classification from Rural Agricultural Conservation (RAC) to Rural Residential (RR) of approximately four (4.1) acres located off the north side of Battery Park Road (Rte. 704) between Gatling Pointe Parkway (Rte. 1170) and Cypress Knoll Lane. The purpose of the application is to create one (1) single family residential lot from Tax Parcel Identification Number 23-01-004.

The application of Francis P. Norsworthy, applicant and owner, for an amendment to Conditional Planned Development Mixed Use zoning of approximately 70 acres of land located on the property with tax map numbers 33-01-142, 33-01-142A, 33-01-142A3, and 33-01-142H. The purpose of the application is to amend the existing proffered conditions of the property.

The request of Isle of Wight County, owner, for a Conditional Use Permit on a leased area of Tax Map Parcel 21-01-083. Said property, approximately 2.58 acres, is located 545 feet east of Great Spring Road (Rte. 655) set behind 13080 Great Spring Road. The proposed use of the property is for a private club, specifically as meeting and storage facilities for local scout troops.

Copies of said applications are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, and are available for public examination.

Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his or her views with respect to said applications may appear before and be heard by said Board of Supervisors during the Public Hearing to be held in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex on Thursday, April 19, 2018. The public meeting is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON

BOUNDARY LINE ADJUSTMENT AGREEMENT

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 15.2-3107 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, that on April 19, 2018, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Isle of Wight, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on a proposed Boundary Line Adjustment Agreement Between The County Of Isle of Wight And The Town Of Smithfield (the “Agreement”). The public hearing will be held in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex on Route 258 in Isle of Wight, Virginia with the public portion of the meeting set to begin at 6:00 p.m. Following the public hearing, the Board of Supervisors intends to adopt a resolution approving the Agreement.
The Agreement is authorized by Section 15.2-3106 et seq. of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, and provides that the boundary line of the Town will be relocated by incorporating into the Town of Smithfield (the “Town”) certain territory which is presently located within the unincorporated portions of the County. Survey plats attached to the Agreement depict the new boundary line of the Town in those areas where its boundary line will be changed by the Agreement.
The territory that will be incorporated within the Town consists of a tract of land (the “Boundary Adjustment Area”) containing 184.052 acres adjoining Battery Park Road and lying generally to the east of the current Town limits. The boundaries of the Boundary Adjustment Area are fully described by metes and bounds in the Agreement.
The proposed Agreement provides that the parties, after approving the Agreement, shall promptly petition the Circuit Court of Isle of Wight County to relocate and establish the boundary line as agreed upon, and that the new boundary line shall become effective at midnight on June 30, 2018. In the event a final court order has not been entered by that date, the new boundary line shall become effective at midnight on the last day of the month during which a final court order has been entered. The Agreement provides further that the County and the Town shall each pay its respective costs of newspaper publication.
A copy of the complete Agreement is on file and available for inspection in the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Isle of Wight County located in the County Administration Building at 17090 Monument Circle in Isle of Wight, Virginia. Any person interested in the proposed Agreement may appear at the public hearing and present his or her views.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, to consider for recommendation to the Board of Supervisors the following applications:
The application of CKG Enterprises, LLC, owner, for an amendment to the Conditional Limited Industrial zoning of a parcel with approximately 2.72 acres with tax parcel identification number 34-01-104A located at 15221 and 15225 Carrollton Boulevard (Rte. 17). The purpose of the application is to amend the permitted uses on the property to include administrative office, assisted living facility, club, life care facility, public sports/event facility, rehabilitation service, general office, laboratory, medical office, auction establishment, business support service, business or trade school, catering, medical clinic, veterinary hospital/clinic, wholesale sales, and studio/fine arts.

The application of George Paul Gwaltney, owner, and Debra Hall, applicant, for a Conditional Use Permit on a parcel with approximately .53 acres with tax parcel identification number 34-01-008B located at 14168 Carrollton Boulevard (Rte. 17). The purpose of the application is to allow for a commercial kennel on property that is zoned General Commercial.

PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED FY 2019-2028 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 19, 2018, to consider the proposed fiscal year 2019-2028 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) for Isle of Wight County. The proposed CIP represents a planned schedule of county expenditures for physical improvements and acquisitions over the next ten (10) fiscal years. Copies of the proposed CIP are available for review on the County’s website at www.co.isle-of-wight.va.us/ and in the County Administrator’s Office. Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his/her views with respect to the proposed CIP may appear before and be heard by the Board of Supervisors during the public hearing to be held in the Robert C. NOTICE FOR THE REMOVAL OF A DANGEROUS STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 15458 CEDAR GROVE ROAD, CARROLLTON, VIRGINIA

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-906 and Isle of Wight County, Virginia Code Section 4-15, that the Isle of Wight County, Virginia Department of Inspections has issued notice to the property owners of 15458 Cedar Grove Road, Carrollton, Virginia, namely Joseph Faltz and Anna Faltz to remove the dangerous structure on their property located at 15458 Cedar Grove Road, Carrollton, Virginia.

Said structure has been deemed unsafe by the Isle of Wight County Director of Inspections. You are hereby notified that you have thirty calendar days to remove the structure. The thirty calendar days shall be calculated from the latter of: (A) the date of this publication, and (B) the return receipt attached to the letter addressed to you from the County dated April 5, 2018. The failure to timely perform the removal of said dangerous structure by the property owners will result in the County through its agents and/or employees, taking such action to remove such structure with the cost and expense of removal charged to the property owners and such unpaid balance to be a lien against such real estate.
