PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, to consider for recommendation to the Board of Supervisors the following applications:
The application of CKG Enterprises, LLC, owner, for an amendment to the Conditional Limited Industrial zoning of a parcel with approximately 2.72 acres with tax parcel identification number 34-01-104A located at 15221 and 15225 Carrollton Boulevard (Rte. 17). The purpose of the application is to amend the permitted uses on the property to include administrative office, assisted living facility, club, life care facility, public sports/event facility, rehabilitation service, general office, laboratory, medical office, auction establishment, business support service, business or trade school, catering, medical clinic, veterinary hospital/clinic, wholesale sales, and studio/fine arts.
The application of George Paul Gwaltney, owner, and Debra Hall, applicant, for a Conditional Use Permit on a parcel with approximately .53 acres with tax parcel identification number 34-01-008B located at 14168 Carrollton Boulevard (Rte. 17). The purpose of the application is to allow for a commercial kennel on property that is zoned General Commercial.
Copies of said applications are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, and are available for public examination.
Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his or her views with respect to said applications may appear before and be heard by said Planning Commission during the Public Hearing to be held in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED FY 2019-2028 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM
Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 19, 2018, to consider the proposed fiscal year 2019-2028 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) for Isle of Wight County. The proposed CIP represents a planned schedule of county expenditures for physical improvements and acquisitions over the next ten (10) fiscal years. Copies of the proposed CIP are available for review on the County’s website at www.co.isle-of-wight.va.us/ and in the County Administrator’s Office. Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his/her views with respect to the proposed CIP may appear before and be heard by the Board of Supervisors during the public hearing to be held in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room, Isle of Wight Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia. NOTICE FOR THE REMOVAL OF A DANGEROUS STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 15458 CEDAR GROVE ROAD, CARROLLTON, VIRGINIA
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-906 and Isle of Wight County, Virginia Code Section 4-15, that the Isle of Wight County, Virginia Department of Inspections has issued notice to the property owners of 15458 Cedar Grove Road, Carrollton, Virginia, namely Joseph Faltz and Anna Faltz to remove the dangerous structure on their property located at 15458 Cedar Grove Road, Carrollton, Virginia.
Said structure has been deemed unsafe by the Isle of Wight County Director of Inspections. You are hereby notified that you have thirty calendar days to remove the structure. The thirty calendar days shall be calculated from the latter of: (A) the date of this publication, and (B) the return receipt attached to the letter addressed to you from the County dated April 5, 2018. The failure to timely perform the removal of said dangerous structure by the property owners will result in the County through its agents and/or employees, taking such action to remove such structure with the cost and expense of removal charged to the property owners and such unpaid balance to be a lien against such real estate.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Surry County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a public hearing for Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 7:00pm in the General District Courtroom of the Surry County Government Center, 45 School Street, Surry, Virginia 23883, to hear public comments and consider the following Conditional Use Permit Applications. Copies of the applications are available for review and inspection by the public in the Office of the County Administrator, Surry County Government Center, 45 School Street, Surry, Virginia. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Conditional Use Permit Application No. 2018- 03 Application by Spring Grove Solar, LLC to amend previously approved Conditional Use Permits permitting Utility Service/ Major uses, specifically the construction and operation of solar energy facilities for one or more solar projects up to 400 MWAC generation capacity, in the aggregate, as permitted by Article III Section 3-302, Permitted Uses, (C) of the Surry County Zoning Ordinance for properties described below:
• (Spring Grove Parcel) An irregularly shared parcel, zoned Agricultural -Rural District (A-R) and consisting of +2,676 acres. The property fronts on the North side of Colonial Trail West/SR10 for +3,000‘and on the South side of Beaverdam Road/SR626 for +11,000’ and has an average depth of +8,700’.
• (Colonial Trail West Parcel) An irregularly shaped parcel zoned Agriculture Rural District (A-R) and consisting of + 1,241 acres. The property fronts on the North side of Colonial Trail West/SR10 for +2,600’ and the West side of Hollybush Road/SR618 for +3,350’ and has an average depth of +10,700’.
• Tax Parcels included in the Conditional Use Permit requests are: 26-4,12-21A,12-28,12-29,12-33,12-34A, 12-34B,12-35,12-64,12-67,12-68,12-69,12-70,12-71,12-73,13-24,25-11,25-15,26-17, & 26-18.
The subject properties are zoned A-R (Agricultural-Rural) under the Surry County Zoning Ordinance which has a designated density of between 30,000 square feet and one acre per dwelling minimum lot area. The Comprehensive Plan recommends agrarian rural residential uses but includes no density range for the properties.
Conditional Use Permit Application No. 2018- 04 Application by Spring Grove Solar, LLC to permit a utility switchyard as permitted by Article III Section 3-302, Permitted Uses, (C) of the Surry County Zoning Ordinance on a portion, +2.0 acres located adjacent to an existing transmission line, of a larger irregularly shaped parcel zoned Agriculture Rural District (A-R) and consisting of + 1,241 acres. The property fronts on the North side of Colonial Trail West/SR10 for +2,600’ and the West side of Hollybush Road/SR618 for +3,350’ and has an average depth of +10,700’. The subject property is identified as Tax Parcel 26-4.
The subject properties are zoned A-R (Agricultural-Rural) under the Surry County Zoning Ordinance which has a designated density of between 30,000 square feet and one acre per dwelling minimum lot area. The Comprehensive Plan recommends agrarian rural residential uses but includes no density range for the properties.
