SMITHFIELD- Anne Lee Faircloth Orrell, 86, died peacefully on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018. Born in Norfolk, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Jerry Wright Orrell; and parents, John Haynes and Estelle Jeffreys Faircloth.  Anne retired from WHRO in Norfolk and also worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for many years.  She was a great lover of books, cards, board games and her family photograph albums.  She was a long-time member of Westhaven Baptist Church, member of Calvary Baptist Church for four years, and current member of Smithfield Baptist Church.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Frances O. Butrick (John); son, Dean W. Orrell (Kathy); two stepsons, Donald B. Orrell (Rose) and Jerry Wayne Orrell (JudyAnn); sister, Peggy F. Sawyers (Neal); two brothers, Leslie J. Faircloth and John C. Faircloth (Jan); several grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  The family expresses its thanks to the caring staff at Magnolia Manor in Smithfield.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6, noon, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, Suffolk, with Pastor Don Rhoton presiding.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour before the service. Burial will be private. www.SturtevantFH.com
