Barbara Jones Harold

INDIANAPOLIS, IND — Barbara Jones Harold, 78, from Smithfield, died Nov. 28, 2018 in Indianapolis Ind.

Ms. Harold was born Sept. 22, 1940 in Smithfield.

She attended Smithfield High School.  Ms. Harold moved to Indianapolis to be near her daughter in 2000.  She went to work as a special deputy for the Marion County Sheriff’s Department in Indianapolis and retired in 2016.

She enjoyed life to the fullest, she loved to cook and spend time with her family and her little Boston terrier Roxy.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Brown, son-in-law Scott Brown, grandchildren, Ashley and Christopher and great granddaughter, Isabelle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, U. Edmond Harold Jr. of Clifton Forge, mother Florence M Jones and father Leigh Brock Jones of Smithfield.

Ms. Harold will be interred at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Richmond, with her husband in the spring.
