PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 58.1-3651(B) of the Code of Virginia (1950, as amended), that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, January 17, 2019, to consider the enactment of an ordinance to designate as exempt from taxation all real and personal property owned and operated by Mid-Atlantic Broadband Communities Corporation.

A copy of the proposed ordinance is on file in the Office of the County Administrator and County Attorney, Isle of Wight, Virginia, 23397, and is available for public examination.

Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or express his views with respect to, the proposed ordinance may appear before, and be heard by, the Board during the Public Hearing section of the meeting in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room, Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, to consider for recommendation to the Board of Supervisors the following applications:

The application of Carmine Iadorola, applicant, and Ho-Fel LLC, owner, for a conditional use permit on approximately 300 acres of land out of a 313.78 acre parcel located on Lees Mill Road (Rte. 616) with tax parcel identification number 69-01-087. The purpose of the application is to allow for Utility service, major (solar farm) to be permitted on property that is zoned Rural Agricultural Conservation (RAC).

An ordinance to amend and reenact the following sections of the Isle of Wight County Code, Appendix B, Zoning: Article IV, Zoning Districts and Boundaries, Part 2, Rural Agricultural Conservation District (RAC), Section 4003, Conditional Uses; Part 4, Village Center (VC) District, Section 4002, Permitted Uses; Part 8, Urban Residential (UR) District, Section 8005, Bulk Regulations; Part 9, Limited Commercial (LC), Section 9002, Permitted Uses; Part 10, General Commercial (GC), Section 10002, Permitted Uses; Part 17, Planned Development Commercial Park (PD-CP), Section 17002, Permitted Uses; Part 18, Planned Development Mixed Use (PD-MX), Section 18002, Permitted Uses; Article VIII, Landscaping and Screening Standards, Section 1008, Landscaping Credits Table; and Article IX, Signs, Section 1006, Permitted Signs. The purpose of the amendments is to correct minor clerical errors identified in the Zoning Ordinance.

Copies of said applications are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, and are available for public examination. PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED FY2020-2029 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM

Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, to consider the proposed fiscal year 2020-2029 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) for Isle of Wight County. The proposed CIP represents a planned schedule of county expenditures for physical improvements and acquisitions over the next ten (10) fiscal years. Copies of the proposed CIP are available for review on the County’s website at www.co.isle-of-wight.va.us/ and in the County Administrator’s Office. Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his/her views with respect to the proposed CIP may appear before and be heard by the Planning Commission during the public hearing to be held in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room, Isle of Wight Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia.
