PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, to consider for recommendation to the Board of Supervisors the following applications:

The application of W. C. Sawyer and Archer L. Jones, II, applicant and owners, for a comprehensive plan amendment to change the future recommended land use on 0.888 acres of land from Business and Employment to Suburban Residential. The property is located at 14491 Carrollton Boulevard with tax map numbers 34-01-050B and 34-01-055.

The application of W. C. Sawyer and Archer L. Jones, II, applicant and owners, for amendment to conditional zoning of 24.3 acres of land located at 14491 Carrollton Boulevard, referred to as Archer’s Meade, on the property with tax map numbers 34-01-050B, 34-01-053, 34-01-055, 34-01-066, 34-01-086, 34-01-086A, and 34-01-087; and for conditional rezoning of 0.888 acres of land located at 14491 Carrollton Boulevard, on the property with tax map numbers 34-01-050B and 34-01-055, from General Commercial to Conditional Planned Development Residential. The purpose of the application is to amend the zoning conditions of the proposed Archer’s Meade development.

Copies of said applications are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, and are available for public examination. Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his or her views with respect to said applications may appear before and be heard by said Planning Commission during the Public Hearing to be held in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The County of Isle of Wight is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. NOTICE is hereby given that the Surry County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a public hearing for Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 7:00pm in the General District Courtroom of the Surry County Government Center, 45 School Street, Surry, Virginia 23883, to hear public comments and consider Ordinance 2019-01 amending Section 20-99 of the Code of Surry County to prohibit hunting in a specific residential sub-division.
Copies of the draft ordinance are available for review and inspection by the public in the Office of the County Administrator, Surry County Government Center, 45 School Street, Surry, Virginia. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Windsor will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 to consider the following proposal to change the location of the polling place for the Windsor Precinct of the Windsor Election District from the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department, located at 80 East Windsor Blvd, Windsor, Virginia, to the Windsor Town Center, located at 23361 Courthouse Highway, Windsor, Virginia.

A copy of the proposed polling place changes are on file in the Windsor Town Office and are available for public examination.

Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his or her views with respect to, the proposed ordinance may appear before, and be heard by, the Town Council during the Public Hearing to be held at the Town Hall, 8 East Windsor Boulevard, Windsor, Virginia on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Public Hearing Notice

Notice is hereby given that the Surry County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing in the General District Courtroom of the Surry County Government Center, 45 School Street, Surry, Virginia 23883, on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. to consider a lease agreement with the Federal Bureau of Investigation which would allow equipment owned by the agency to be located on the County owned Communications Tower.

The Plaintiff filed this suit pursuant to Va. Code § 58.1-3965, et seq., to enforce its delinquent tax liens against the following real estate standing in the name of Brown, Jolley & Brown II, LLC: Tax Map No.: 34-01-050 Brief Description: 15020 Carrolton Blvd.

An affidavit having been filed that the Plaintiff used due diligence to locate the unknown heirs, devisees and successors in interest of James Banks Brown, Jr., but without effect; that the post office addresses of the unknown heirs, devisees and successors in interest of James Banks Brown, Jr. are unknown; and that there may be other persons having an interest in the property whose names and addresses are unknown, and those claiming through the aforementioned parties, all such persons made defendants as “Parties Unknown.”
It is ORDERED that this Order be published at least once a week for two successive weeks in the Smithfield Times, a newspaper of general circulation in Isle of Wight, Virginia, and that the parties named herein appear at 9 a.m. April 17,2019 , 2019, in the Isle of Wight Circuit Court Clerk’s Office and do what may be necessary to protect their respective interests.
