The Smithfield Community Blood Drive is Thursday, July 25, noon to 6 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 201 Cedar St. in Smithfield. The drive is sponsored by the Women of Benn’s United Methodist Church. The Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage and summer vacations and high temperatures reduce donations.
