Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 15.2-1427 of the Code of Virginia (1950, as amended) that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 14, 2020 to consider the following:

An emergency ordinance to effectuate temporary changes in certain deadlines and to modify public meeting and public hearing practices and procedures to address continuity of operations associated with pandemic disaster.

A copy of the proposed plan is on file in the Office of the County Administrator, Isle of Wight County Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia 23397, and is available for public examination. Any person desiring to be heard in favor, in opposition to, or to express his/her views with respect to the above referenced ordinance may appear before and be heard by said Board of Supervisors for the County of Isle of Wight on Thursday, May 14, 2021, in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room on the second floor of the Community Development Building, 17130 Monument Circle, Isle of Wight County, Virginia 23397. The public meeting shall begin at 6:00 p.m. In an effort to address the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, citizens are encouraged to submit their comments in writing (mailing address PO Box 80, Isle of Wight, VA 23397, Attn: Emergency Ordinance) or by email (comment@iwus.net) and observe the meeting via the County’s website (https://www.co.isleofwight.va.us/government/county_board_of_supervisors/meeting_live_stream.php) or on the County’s official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/iwcva/). All written comments received prior to 11:59 p.m. May 14, 2020 shall be made a part of the record of the meeting and will be provided to the members of the Board of Supervisors prior to the vote on these matters. Normal rules of order apply with respect to requiring the name and home address or magisterial district of the commenter, that comments relate to the hearing or comment topic, that one comment per person per item apply, comments shall not be used to make political campaign speeches, private advertisements or personal attacks, nor contain profane language. Comments should be of reasonable length (approximately 600 words) to comply with the Board’s policy establishing a four-minute spoken comment time limit. Pursuant to Governor Northam’s Executive Orders #53 and #55 regarding limiting public gatherings, citizens wishing to speak in person will be brought to the Board Room one at a time. Other citizens will remain outside to observe social distancing until their turn to speak.

Application by Spring Grove Solar III, LLC to rezone +672 acres from Agricultural Rural District (A-R) to General Industrial District (M-1) to permit a solar utility use. The property consists of one parcel, is irregularly shaped, and begins + 2850’ west of the intersection of Colonial Trail West/SR 10 and Hollybush Road/SR 618, extending along the south side of Colonial Trail W/SR 10 for + 2800’ with an average depth of + 5300’. The property is referred to as Tax Parcel No. 26-4C.

Conditional Use Permit No. 2020-02

Application by Spring Grove Solar III, LLC for a conditional use permit for a solar generation facility in Surry County (the “Project”). The Project is located on one parcel, irregularly shaped, beginning + 2850’ west of the intersection of Colonial Trail West/SR 10 and Hollybush Road/SR 618, extending along the south side of Colonial Trail W/SR 10 for + 2800’ with an average depth of + 5300’. The property is referred to as Tax Parcel No. 26-4C.

15.2-2232 Substantially in Accord Determination

Application by Spring Grove Solar III, LLC for a determination that the Project, as defined in Conditional Use Permit Application No. 2020-02, is substantially in accord with the Surry County Comprehensive Plan. The Project is located on one parcel, irregularly shaped, beginning + 2850’ west of the intersection of Colonial Trail West/SR 10 and Hollybush Road/SR 618, extending along the south side of Colonial Trail W/SR 10 for + 2800’ with an average depth of + 5300’. The property is referred to as Tax Parcel No. 26-4C.

PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That the Town Council will hold a WORK SESSION for the 2020/2021 Budget for Town, Water, and Sewer and to discuss Water Rate Increases at Claremont Town Hall, 4115 Spring Grove Avenue, Claremont, Virginia on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 7:00pm.

PUBLIC NOTICE
On Wednesday, May 27, 2020, the Town Council of the Town of Claremont, Virginia will conduct a Public Hearing on the FY 2020/2021 budget for the Town of Claremont, Claremont Water System, Claremont Sewer System, and water rate increases. The proposed budgets will be available to view at the Clerk’s Office at Town Hall during business hours after the work session is held.
The Public Hearing will be conducted at 7:00pm at the Town Hall, 4115 Spring Grove Avenue, Claremont Virginia. All interested persons may appear at such time and place and present their views.

Social distancing restrictions will be strictly enforced.
