Frank E. Jones departed this life on Wednesday, June 18th in Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA. He was born Feb. 4, 1939, in Southampton County, VA but moved with his family to Isle of Wight County where he spent a number of years before making Petersburg his home. His employment included Four Square Farm but he retired with the VRS system in Petersburg.

Frank was an avid sports fanatic with the Los Angeles Dodgers as his favorite baseball team, the Los Angeles Lakers his basketball team and the Dallas Cowboys his football team. He joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Ivor during his years at Four Square Farm, but later joined First Baptist Harrison Street in Petersburg.

Frank’s survivors include two brothers Edward (Veronica) and Raymond (Mary), three nephews Raymond Jones, Jr., Timothy L. Jones and Stacy Jones, four nieces Angela Williams, Patricia Evans, Melody Jones and Michelle Greene, other cousins, relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 26 at New Jones Grove Baptist Church, Windsor, VA.
