UPDATE: Isle of Wight County Schools will be closed on Thursday, the division announced on Facebook.
“Virtual learning is also canceled for today since many teachers rely on school internet to deliver virtual instruction,” the statement read.
Earlier: Due to the forecast for snow overnight and freezing conditions in the morning, Isle of Wight County Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay on Thursday, Jan. 28, said school division spokeswoman Lynn Briggs. The delay is for all students and staff, including those participating in virtual learning.
The school division said it would continue to monitor weather conditions.
