After a strong season, the Smithfield High School boys basketball team earned itself a spot in the 4A State Championship game this Saturday night against John Handley High School.

Smithfield has enjoyed a 9-0 season thus far. Rashad Tucker, a senior, has been one of the consistent scorers this season and contributed 18 points. Sophomore Troy Giles contributed 15 points to the 56-49 win over Eastern View.

Smithfield will travel to Winchester to vie for the state title.
