Editor, The Smithfield Times:

I just wanted to say how refreshing it was to hear Smithfield schools are disagreeing with the state and federal laws regarding human rights, particularly on the rights of LGBTQ children and their identity during PRIDE Month.

Why, was it only yesterday that we mistakenly allowed equal rights to pollute our minds? Thankfully we have hateful conservative letters sent to the editor that remind us just how welcomed and normalized our community is to hate.

And thank goodness for these moral examples we have to embrace children to keep their identities hidden, making sure they grow up emotionally scarred. Happy PRIDE!
