Coffin nailed shut for town?

Editor, The Smithfield Times:
How does a Realtor, builder and restaurant owner vote on the Mallory project? They all have a conflict of interest and gain personally from approving this project.
The foundation of government and elections is to elect people who represent the will of the people. When elected persons DO NOT do this and vote against the will of those who elected them, the basic tenets of government fail.
This just happened in Smithfield, and has just about nailed the coffin shut on this town. You can hardly drive across town now because of traffic, and the builders are doing nothing about that. The roundabout at Nike/Battery Park was a smoke screen that five council members fell for. I hope that each of the five who voted yes are not reelected, and those who voted with conflict of interest are reprimanded.
Bye bye, Smithfield. Hello, SmithVegas.
