Mary Emma Delk Crocker

Mary Emma Delk Crocker, 90, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021.

She was born and raised in Smithfield and loved everything about her town. Mary Emma was a walking history book and could remember every date, event and person she came in contact with her entire life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Merritt A. Delk and Isabelle Thomas Delk; husband, Clyde Samuel Crocker; and dear friend, Anne Brown Delk. She is survived by her family and loving caregivers, Marty and Nancy Lynn Delk; her “grandchildren,” Abbey Rooney (Tim), Kayla Williams (Griffin), and Caitlin McCormick (Henry); and her “great grandchildren,” Ethan, Drake, Tucker, Parker, Fynn, Sutton and Fletcher, who will miss their “Emma” deeply. She also leaves behind her four-legged friend, Lolli.

A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Mill Swamp Cemetery, 6329 Mill Swamp Road, Ivor, VA 23866 with the Rev. Dr. Don Rhoton and the Rev. Dr. Patrick Wood presiding.
