Amber Mitchell Stinson, born Aug. 22, 1974, finished her race in this life on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021.

She fought cancer valiantly and now joined the ranks of those made whole beyond this temporary space. As a wife, mother, daughter, friend, Nurse Practitioner, and educator, her life made a difference wherever she invested herself. Her value is beyond measurement, and her influence reaches further than we will ever know. Amber was a bright and special gift on this earth to all that had the honor of knowing her. Whether it was time at home, time at the beach, time at work or time when she was receiving care from others, she always added value to others.

Amber is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Michael Stinson; son, Dylan Parker, of Hampton; daughter, Kendall Stinson; son, Ryan Stinson; parents, Donald S. and Barbara B. Mitchell; brothers, Dennis Huffman and Chris Huffman; and a host of extended family, colleagues and friends.

Amber made a significant difference in and with her life. She was a devoted medical provider that went the extra mile for all that she cared for. With an impeccable bedside manner, and care beyond what words can ascribe, she was always up for the challenge. Her family will miss her greatly, and she will never be forgotten.

There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, and a celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, with Pastor William M.
