A Carrollton man has been charged with possessing child pornography.

Investigators with the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office arrested 69-year-old Robert Weisz on Dec. 2 at his home in the 600 block of Inland Walk, charging him with 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

The investigation and subsequent arrest, according to a press release from the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office, was conducted in cooperation with the Virginia State Police, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office’s Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Weisz is being held at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond.
