Forced ideology bad for students

Editor, The Smithfield Times:
I 100% agree with the first sentence in the Quote of the Week in last week’s edition of The Smithfield Times.
Multiple concepts/perspectives should be taught to students when they reach a level that they can comprehend the subjects. However, when it is perceived by a significant number of parents that a somewhat semi-proven concept is being forced upon the students instead of letting the students decide between the choices, it is the parents’ right to demand limitations.
When one is in a position of authority, much thought should be given before unduly influencing young minds to one’s own concept. When one cannot, then it is time to bid adieu/retire.
