Youth football returned to the Luter Sports Complex over the weekend when Smithfield Packers Youth Sports hosted the York Seaford Falcons. The 6-and-under (Blue) and 8U teams fell in early play, while the 10U and 12U teams won handily 23-0 and 25-0. In this photo, LeVar Swinton Jr. runs to the outside in the 12U contest. The 6U (Gold) team traveled to Townebank Athletic Field in Newport News to face the VA Eagles but was unsuccessful in its efforts. This week all Smithfield squads will travel to Poquoson to face the Back River Bulls, with the 14U team playing Aberdeen Raiders at Gosnold’s Hope Park in Hampton.
