Editor, The Smithfield Times:
Sept. 21, 2022, marked the close of a life well lived, attorney and public servant William K. “Bill, Billy K” Barlow.
Barlow was a stalwart gentleman who loved his family, his God and those he served. He served 10 terms as delegate of the 64th District of Virginia. He was able to accomplish much because of his wife, Taylor Rowell Barlow, who kept the home fires burning while he attended to his law practice in Smithfield and his work in Richmond.
He will be remembered for his integrity, humility and derring-do to his clients and constituents. He served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon and church moderator and found time to coach sports to young people.
May many follow his well-ordered steps to make our communities better.
