Donald Trump was set to make a “special announcement” this week. If indeed he is going to run for president in 2024, here are some facts for you.

In 2016 he won the presidency through the Electoral College, of course, but Hillary had 2.9 million votes more than Donald J. In 2018, with Trump as president, the Republicans lost 41 congressional seats. Not one incumbent Democrat lost. That was a blue wave! In 2020, with record turnouts, Trump lost to Biden by 7 million votes. And he wants to run again?

In 2016, he beat Hillary by 2.2 percentage points in Florida, and he defeated Biden there by 3.4 percentage points. DeSantos just won the Florida governorship by 20 points!

I think the voters have spoken. Donald Trump needs to retire and stick with golf. I understand he is a fair golfer; maybe he can win some with that.
