The Isle of Wight School Board would like to wash away history and have our children believe in its fairy tales. This new conservative (reactionary) board, like many others that have forced their way into power with the help of the MAGA minority, do not want teachers to teach the truth to their snowflake children. 

The facts are, the mostly white European descendants enslaved black people in the USA for 250 years and for 300 years committed murder and genocide of the natives they found here. The white property-owning men limited voting rights and would not even allow women (50%-plus of the population) to vote for 350 years.I could go on and on. 

As a white man, I have had to face the sins and evilness of my forefathers. By prohibiting the children that they are in charge of from learning the truth is like letting Fox News guard the hen house. Their actions sound like a vague version of the Know Nothing Party. It is not right.
