Isle of Wight debuts summer camp for adults with disabilities

Isle of Wight County Parks and Recreation will hold its first-ever therapeutic recreation Sunny Smiles Day Camp for adults with disabilities age 18 and up.
The program is intended to promote socialization and provide opportunities for participation in recreational activities.
Activities will include group games, arts and crafts, field trips, physical activities, outdoor activities and more.The camp will be from July 31 through Aug. 11, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nike Park, 13036 Nike Park Road, Carrollton. The cost is $100 per person for the two weeks.
Isle of Wight County previously held a one-day “field day” for adults with disabilities at Nike Park in 2021.
