An afternoon of heavy rain has forced cancellation of this week’s installment of the Downtown Smithfield Summer Concert Series.

Pasture #3, a roots and Americana group, had been scheduled to perform.

The series, which runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend on Main Street Square in front of The Smithfield Times office on Main Street, resumes on July 21 with a jazz and Americana performance by The Tomcats.
