The late Joseph Major, a contractor and deacon at Mount Tabor Church of God in Christ, carved this model of the church’s circa-1920s sanctuary. A new sanctuary now stands on Waterworks Road. His widow, Emily, brought the model to The Smithfield Times Wednesday, Oct. 25.
