Editor, The Smithfield Times:

While I was recovering from COVID-19 recently I had time to watch more TV than normal. I saw a religious commercial that showed a video of people mingling around the street as they disappeared one by one. In the audio, the message was “40% of the population could disappear in a split second.”  

Not to be comparing this video with anything religious, but it made me think. If the NO GROWTH people opposing the Grange property development off Main Street could in the blink of an eye see all the property developments and visions of Mr. J.W. Luter III over the last many years disappear, and all that was left was the old, dilapidated community it was, would they pick Smithfield to live and raise their children today?

Everything the Luter family has ever done for the Smithfield area over the last several years has always been first class. This vision will be first class and an asset for all of the community to enjoy too.
