Clinton Brooks Faison, Jr. “C.B.” of Surry, Virginia, went to his heavenly home on January 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. C.B. was predeceased by his parents, Clinton Brooks Faison, Sr. “Brooks” and Mary Virginia Ellis Faison. Left to honor his memory is his devoted wife of 50 years, Brenda B. Faison and his loving daughters, Meredith Faison Blythe (Aaron) and Brittany Faison Bazemore (Scott). C.B. had 4 precious grandchildren who were the light of his life: Barrett Faison Blythe, Wayland Brooks Blythe, Kinsley Ellis Bazemore and Kiley Hunter Bazemore. He held close to his heart his many friendships he formed throughout the years.

Born and raised in Surry, C.B. was a true outdoor enthusiast. He loved to fish and was an avid hunter; spending many hours in the woods as a child with his dad and later with his family. He was especially fond of his fellow hunters. C.B. was valedictorian of the 1969 graduation class of Randolph Macon Academy in Front Royal, Virginia. He was a graduate of both University of Richmond in 1973 and T.C. Williams School of Law in 1976.

C.B. was a member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church and served as the chairman of the finance committee. He was the attorney for the former Surry County Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department. He enjoyed being a member of both the Surry and Wakefield Ruritan clubs, Pheasant Pluckers International, Ducks Unlimited, Inc., Virginia Outdoor Foundation and the Surry County Historical Society.

Professionally he served the people of Southside Virginia for 45 plus years as a devoted attorney and counselor. C.B. took pride in being a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Bar Association, as well as a member of the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Committee for many years. His years as a substitute judge were a true blessing to him.

C.B.’s love and pride for his family and his home – Crosse Creeke Farm – was obvious in all that he would do and say. He would often say “I truly see and feel the presence of God in the land and the creatures throughout”.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the barn on the family farm located at 1093 Crosse Creeke Trail, Spring Grove, VA 23881. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, Wakefield Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to be made to: Randolph-Macon Academy, Office of Advancements, 200 Academy Drive, Front Royal, VA 22630, c/o class of 1969 Endowed Scholarship Fund, in memory of Clinton Brooks “C.B.” Faison, Jr. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
