Michael Gene Johnson, 72, of Carrollton, VA passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024. 

He was the son of the late Gladwin Lawrence Johnson and Mary Dorla Britt Johnson. He is survived by his son, Robert Alan Johnson (Lisa); granddaughters, Lauren and Emily; sister, Lanelle Johnson; brother Lawrence Johnson; and a niece Heather Johnson. He was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lawrence Johnson. 

Mr. Johnson retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, a career that allowed him to travel the world. He loved working on cars, hunting and wood working. He was a caring father and grandfather, and  a dependable friend who was always willing to lend a hand to others. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, 2 p.m. at St. Lukes Memorial Park Cemetery, Smithfield, VA. Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
