Windsor Elementary students donned their solar glasses and gathered outside at the school’s playground at 3:19 p.m. on April 8 to watch the eclipse. Southeastern Virginia, though outside the path of totality that resulted in the sky darkening over 15 U.S. states and parts of Canada and Mexico, saw roughly 75% coverage as the moon passed between the sun and the earth.
