Editor, The Smithfield Times:

Responding to Mr. Hunter Lackey’s letter last week (“Trump in his own words”), in the words of Sam Elliott: “A party that supports abortion over life, illegals over its own citizens, and refugees over its own homeless veterans, is going to lecture me on morals? I don’t think so, cupcake.”

Donald Trump isn’t perfect and neither are you or I. However, I’m not voting for just him! I’m voting for the future of my country because under the present administration my beloved country is going to hades in a handbasket! 

I’m voting for the right to voice my opinion without being accused of “hate speech.” I’m voting for the right to worship God without being persecuted or ridiculed. I’m voting for every tiny, unborn child the left wants to murder. I’m voting for law and order and supporting our police. I’m voting for all the military veterans out there who were and still are willing to lay down their lives for our freedom. I’m voting for the second amendment. I’m voting for good over evil. I’m voting for the red, white and blue and the American dream. I’m voting for the America I love and the ability to pass it on to my children and grandchildren.

Think about what and not just who you are voting for.
