Smithfield High School held its first varsity Packers home football game of the 2024 season on Aug. 30 versus the Norview High School Pilots of Norfolk. The game began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the field’s new scoreboard, funded with a $35,000 donation from Smithfield Foods.
