Joanne Tribble Snethen, 86, of Smithfield, Va passed away on September 26,2024. She is predeceased by the love of her life, Jack H. Snethen; loving daughter, Jody Palombo; and parents, James and Christine Tribble.

Joanne enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and was fortunate to go on 50 cruises. She also enjoyed bicycling, reading, watching old movies, crocheting afghans, and having a glass of wine. Joanne took on many different occupations throughout her life including seamstress, bookstore manager, and supervisor for the Army & Air Force Exchange. She was a member of the Smithfield YMCA and Egrets Bike Club as well.

She is survived by her sons, Jackson F. Snethen (LouAnne) and James D. Snethen (Tina); grandchildren, Jason Snethen (Jenny), Travis Beckner (Terry), Amber Traner (Justin), Ashley Snethen (Christine), and Cameron Snethen; great grandchildren, Alisa and Morgan; and son in law, Tony Palombo.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Magnolia Manor and also the Hospice Workers for all their loving care and helping Jo and our family through her final days. You are all truly Angels on earth!

There will be no services at this time, but the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, North Suffolk Chapel is serving the family.
