Editor, The Smithfield Times:

In a few days we have one of the most important elections in recent history. The country will have a clear choice to turn left or right.

The left/Democratic candidates who wish to represent Isle of Wight County belong to a political party that supports men in women’s sports, children not old enough to vote being allowed to decide if they want to change their sex with radical surgery, the government being allowed to tell you what type vehicle you must drive, electric bills that are projected to more than double, the government to decide what firearms you can own, the government in some instances deciding what you can say and where, policies that will continue to increase the price of groceries and gas, DEI in workplaces and schools, the government paying for sex change operations for prisoners, continuing to have open borders that allow millions of illegal aliens in the country, and that opposes laws that could verify citizenship and prevent illegal aliens from voting, allow abortions up to the point of birth, let people identify as any sex they want. I could list many more insane policies they support if I had the space.

The current Democratic U.S. senator who represents us has voted along the left/Democratic party line 91.7% of the time.

The right/Republican candidates: Congresswoman Jen Kiggans is a veteran and served flying helicopters in a combat zone and is currently a nurse practitioner who is doing an excellent job for our county, including saving us from having a real estate tax increase. U.S. Senate candidate Hung Cao is a decorated officer who served in combat. Both oppose every insane left/Democrat policy listed above.

I say if we turn right/Republican, we drive off into a prosperous future. If we turn left/Democrat, we crash into a wall and may never recover. Vote Jen Kiggans for Congress and Hung Cao for U.S. Senate.
