Editor, The Smithfield Times:

On Feb. 10th I was shopping at Food Lion on Church Street. When I was checking out the cashier said for me to put away my money because the lady in front of me had paid for my purchase.

I thanked her and told her how thoughtful and generous of her to do that. I asked her name and she said it was Lorie.

I would just like to thank her again. What a sweet lady!
