Editor, The Smithfield Times:
I’ve just returned home after spending the afternoon at a COVID vaccine clinic held at Main Street Baptist Church in Smithfield. I was a volunteer for the Virginia Department of Health Medical Reserve Corps.
My compliments are to the church congregation volunteers who made lunch for us and made sure we felt welcome and cared for. It was very heartwarming to feel their love and call to service for the staff, volunteers and vaccine recipients.
We will get through this together and to you, I say, “Thank you.”
