Roger James Pittman, 73, of Carrollton, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Born in Everett, Pa., he was the son of Thelma and Richard Pittman. He retired after serving in the U.S. Navy. A was a dedicated member of the American Legion Post #25. He enjoyed recycling and attending old car shows.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lina; one son, Roger James Pittman II; brother, Merle Pittman; sister, Barbara J. Melius.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. May 28, 2021, at the American Legion Braxton Perkins Post #25, 7609 Marshall Ave., in Newport News.
The family suggests any memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
