Tornado Warning expires

UPDATE 6:42 p.m.: The tornado warning was canceled early.
Earlier: The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a tornado warning for northeastern Isle of Wight County, east-central Surry County and northeastern city of Suffolk until 6:45 p.m.
At 6:17 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Driver moving north at 55 miles per hour.
The storm is expected to be near Smithfield and Rescue around 6:30 p.m. Other nearby locations are also impacted.
Take cover now and move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
