The Sundays at Four will present its first concert since March 2020 this month.

The concert will take place at 4 p.m. Nov. 28 at Christ Episcopal Church, 111 S. Church St., Smithfield.

Attendees are asked to wear masks and be fully vaccinated. “Let’s be as considerate as possible, and hope we can all stay away from this virus,” said Mary Cole, managing director of Sundays at Four.

The Nov. 28 concert will be presented by The Second Ending Brass (James Barnard, trumpet; Kenneth Keller, trombone; Kerry Moffit, trumpet; Ellen Polachek, horn; Dru Stowe, tuba) and organist Heidi Bloch. This will be the first time Sundays at Four board members have performed on a Sundays at Four concert. Heidi Bloch was organist at Christ Church for 19 years prior to COVID. Though no longer employed in Smithfield, she remains artistic director of Sundays at Four. Dru Stowe, executive director of Sundays at Four, a program of the Isle of Wight Arts League, is also manager of MurSto Productions, an entertainment production and contracting service, and Stowe is also a member of The Second Ending Brass Quintet.

The concert will provide music that spans 500 years of musical history, and will cover the grateful season of Thanksgiving, the quiet time of Advent, anticipating the birth of the Christ Child, and the festive and glorious joy of Christmas.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for those 18 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the door, online at www.sundaysatfourva.org or through the Sundays at Four Facebook page.
