Democracy comes with the civic responsibility to be involved, now more than ever we as citizens of the United States should participate in shaping the future of our country.

Being active in the Democratic Party is my way of doing that. What does the Democratic Party stand for and what is it trying to accomplish? The guiding principles below summarize it for me.

Working for:

• A safe environment by combating air pollution and global warming, eliminating domestic violent crime, supporting world peace through strength and diplomacy.
• A healthy life by providing health care availability to all citizens, achieving proper food sufficiency and nutrition, eliminating homelessness.
• A good education through early literacy, quality schools for all children, financial support for higher education.
• A satisfying job, achieving an independent life through a motivating and impactful job.
