With deepest sorrow, we announce that Shaun R. Riddick, died peacefully Feb. 20, 2022, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was born June 11, 1992 to his parents, Calvin Jeff Riddick and Alison Faye Wright. He is predeceased by his grandmother, Ruth Layden Riddick.

Shaun, as we know him, was an energetic and big-hearted soul who adored his family. His Dad, Jeff and grandfather, Calvin were prominent male figures in his life. He respected and loved them both. Their love and passion for cars carried through Shaun as well, making three generations of car lovers. The three of them together in one room always brought amusement and laughter to any occasion. Shaun was a proud father to two sons, Cayden and Nikolai. He cherished his role as “Big brother” to his niece, Adriannah and nephews, Keegan and Karter, where fun was the ultimate goal!

He had a particular affection for dogs and would light up so bright talking about his daily encounters working with them at his job.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents; his children, Cayden Matzganis and Nikolai Riddick; sisters, Brittany Holloman and Alexandra Taylor; niece, Adriannah Holloman; nephews, Keegan Holloman and Karter Muth; grandfather, Calvin R. Riddick; aunts, Sheila Stallings(Darden), Donna Riddick, and Wanda Collins; cousin, Heather Baer(Josh) and their children, Lily, Ava, and Jaxon.

Shaun, find peace now that you are among the blind men who can see, and the place with golden streets. You will be deeply missed by your family, friends and everyone who knows you!
